Newmarket is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Flemington, on the Craigieburn railway line. Newmarket is classed as a host station and is in Myki Zone 1.FacilitiesNewmarket is located at the northern end of the Racecourse Road rail overpass, with station access from Racecourse Road and Pin Oak Crescent. Tram route 57 is a short walk from the station, on Racecourse Road.Newmarket station consists of two elevated side platforms; Platform 1 has a large red-brick building, while platform 2 has a red-brick building of similar size. Access to each platform is via a ramp. An underpass is situated at the Craigieburn end of the station.Special services to Flemington Racecourse and Showgrounds stations run though the station, but do not stop for passengers, with signs on the platform advising customers of the fact. The junction for the Flemington Racecourse line itself is at the down end of the station.
